Activity section excerpt

    Is it possible to add custom excerpts to front the activity and main slider. I have added the code to functions.php in child theme to add excerpt box to pages. The manual excerpt for the pages do not show in Activity or Main slider sections.

    Was a resolution found for this? I am also not able to change or update the images on the activity pages. Please give instructions on how to update the images.
